We as a talent research & consulting firm track 1000+ skills hiring outlook for a decade now. In the recent 3 quarters, we have been tracking hot digital skills from 300 IT Services, Global In-house centers / Global Capability centers (GICs/GCC), BPM Services players, Software product captives, R&D centers & Research labs, Digital agencies and Technology startup companies in India.
We witnessed to see about 13 digital skills are set to increase talent demand in next 2years, the top digital skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Data Science, Machine Learning/NLP, Blockchain, Cloud, Reality - AR/VR, Cyber Security , Robotic Process Automation (RPA), DevOps, UIUX, Full Stack Development (FSD), Digital Commerce suites ( SAP Hybris, SFCC/Demandware, Magento, Oracle ATG, IBM WCS), etc.

Our talent demand and supply research study unveiled 13 digital talent heat map of 26 cities in India, which contributes over 2,80,000 digital talent populations. HAN DIGITAL considered hundreds of market prevailing digital skills/job descriptions to qualify high demand skills across various roles such as developers, testing/QA engineers, architects, implementation engineers, solution consultants, digital transformation leaders, digital strategists, SMEs, digital practice owners, CoE experts, researchers, chief digital officers (CDO), etc
Highlights of findings:
- Approximately 50% of the total digital talent pool available across 13 hot demanding skills in India and talent demand is growing at average of 45% in each skill
- 69% of these talent pool installed across 4 major locations such as Bangalore, Delhi/NCR, Pune and Hyderabad locations
- 13 digital skills set to increase very high hiring demand among top 50 organizations in India for next 24months
- Upskilling and Cross Skilling of the existing talent pool has been rapidly increasing across 200+ associated digital skills as per our study
- 85% of these top digital skilled professionals are concentrated across tier I cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai. Delhi/NCR and Kolkata. Rest of 15% talent diluted across 17 tier II / emerging ITBPM cities in India.
- Cloud, Data Science, DevOps, Machine Learning (ML)/NLP and UIUX skills are in top 5 digital skills which share 62% among the total digital talent pool from these 13 skills
