Job description:
Reliability Engineer responsible for reliability and operational safety analysis for commercial aerospace programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Electrical Stress Analysis and Derating Analysis
-In accordance with customer supplied or SIS Derating Guidelines. Reference: D-Rate from the Reliability Information and Analysis Center (RiAC). The ability to perform component stress circuit analysis independently is preferred.
-Tools include Excel or Relex
Reliability Prediction
-Methodologies include MIL-HDBK-217, PRISM, 217-Plus, MIL-HDBK-338 Field Data Methods, and NPRD-95
-Tools include Relex Studio 2008 or current version
Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
-Methodologies include FMD-97, MIL-STD-1629 and SAE ARP 5580
-Tools include Relex Studio 2008 (preferred) or Excel
Fault Tree Analysis
-Guidance includes Nuclear Regulatory Commissions Fault Tree Handbook (NUREG-0492) and SAE ARP 4761
-Tools include Relex Studio 2008 or CAFTA depending on the customer
System Safety Assessment (SSA)
-Guidance includes FAA Advisory Circular AC 25.1309 and SAE ARP 4761
-Tools include MS WORD
