Roles and Responsibilities

Roles: ------ Researchers have get the opportunity to work on core speech technologies such as Hindi speech recognition, pervasive user interface technologies for developing countries (where people are not IT-survey and do not have access to the Internet) and on assistive technologies such as speech-enabled browsers and embedded text-to-speech synthesis for devices. We are looking for Professionals with the respective expertise. Here goes Brief about the Position: With a broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of HCI, User Centric Design and Usability. Knowledge or experience with one or more of the following areas will be additional plus points: Machine learning algorithms, Dialog systems, Web based systems development, Spoken language systems Natural language processing, Spoken interfaces. In addition, candidates are expected to be self-motivated with strong development skills, communication skills, and inter-personal skills and with a meticulous attention to detail. Publications, Conferences & Journals in HCI Desirable key skills --------------------- User centric Design, Usability Analysis, User Modeling, User Studies, Core speech technologies Programming experience in Java & C++ Voice application, Spoken System, Automated voice system, Spoken dialogue system Human Computer Interaction Researcher: -------------------------------------- Minimum Qualification of candidates will possess a Ph. D. in Computer Science or related field. Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate the ability to map their technical expertise to practical, real world problems. Preference would also be given to candidates that demonstrate the ability of taking ideas from concept to usable implementation. Candidates would be expected to publish high quality scientific and field experience papers on their work.
