Commitment to high quality, awesome execution, solving for customers and employee engagement 2. Apply experience, leadership, and innovation to foster an environment of proactive, early quality assurance activities, including peer reviews of plans, estimates, designs, code, and test cases 3. Lead quality assurance team members in end to end preventive and corrective quality activities. 4. Assure the quality of all project deliverables 5. Provide quality assurance leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, including brand new solutions and enhancements to existing products 6. Lead the implementation of automation principles, manifest in best practice processes, technologies and tools that drive efficiencies in software development 7. Provide objective evaluation of project progress, including process and product quality, throughout the software development lifecycle. Implement and leverage key metrics, and drive necessary improvements to optimize project outcomes, while engaging project team members 8. Collaborate effectively with peers, tech leads, architects and managers to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas. 9. Coordinate quality assurance efforts with members of cross-functional teams in local and remote locations. 10. Lead defect management activities throughout the software development lifecycle 11. Arbitrate disagreements and make decisions while maintaining effective working relationships. Collaboratively resolve interpersonal issues while maintaining effective working relationships. Resolve quality related disagreements with informed, rational debate. 12. Provide proactive guidance and review all QA engineers’ work within the assigned scope 13. Mentor / coach other QA and software engineers to facilitate their professional development 14. Mentor team members in quality assurance activities 15. Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical staff including senior product and business management 16. Instill a positive sense of energy and enthusiasm in teams through role modeling and leadership 17. Applied project management skills and the ability to effectively manage high performing teams by being a charismatic motivator and thought leader 18. Confidently make high impact decisions despite incomplete or ambiguous information. Communicate the decision and the logic behind the decision. 19. Deep quality assurance understanding, solid technical understanding, and extraordinary passion for growing and applying quality and technical skills in service to customers Desired Candidate Experience: 1. BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent 2. 10+ years of software quality assurance and/or engineering experience 3. Outstanding application of software development life cycle principles 4. Outstanding grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application 5. Outstanding application of software engineering disciplines, including: abstract problem solving, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, verification and validation, testing automation 6. 3+ years Java/J2EE/JBoss software development professional experience 7. 3+ years experience with projects using OO analysis, design and implementation 8. 5+ years quality assurance leadership and mentoring teams of QA and SW engineers 9. 3+ years experience in Test Automation including GUI and API level 10. Leadership experience in specifying, designing and executing load and performance testing 11. Create/maintain automated test frameworks. Apply automation throughout the SDLC to drive efficiencies 12. Leadership in early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code 13. Hands on experience with formal software development methodology 14.
