Roles and Responsibilities
The Staff Software Engineer (PE) will report to Group Manager for Product Development in Bangalore, India. He/she will be accountable for providing a high level of technical leadership in service to a high performing product development team in India office. This team will operate in all phases of the software development life cycle and will significantly contribute to overall growth and sustainability.

- Provide technical leadership throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including brand new solutions and enhancements to existing products

Qualifications:
- BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years experience in software engineering
- Outstanding application of software development life cycle principles
- Outstanding grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
- Outstanding application of software engineering disciplines, including: abstract problem solving, deep technology understanding, solution generation, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, structured programming, design patterns
- 5+ years Java/J2EE/JBoss software development professional experience
- 5+ years experience with OO analysis, design and implementation
- 3+ years technical leadership and mentoring teams of software engineers
- Leadership experience in specifying, designing, developing and implementing enterprise-class, web-based Java systems
- Fluency with Unified Modeling Language
- Demonstrated ability to produce designs for robust software, and to carry through with their execution
- Hands on experience with formal software development methodology
- Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Outstanding problem solving skills with a history of driving the development of major software components
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
