Roles and Responsibilities

POSITION: Technical Manager LOCATION: BANGALORE Role  He/She will be in charge of the .NET Application Development using C# and SQL.  He/she Coordinate development activities with US based development team.  Provide technical assistance to development team.  Manage the conceptualization, design, development, deployment, and support of Impact forecasting’s .NET applications Job Description • He must Provide technical and management leadership to a team of product development professionals specializing in .NET application development • His Responsibilities include team building, project design, scheduling and execution Mentoring and motivating the team, implementing best practices and policies Create requirements and project timelines for new .NET software products and enhancements to existing products • He must Manage multiple projects and maintain overall responsibility for quality and timeliness of deliverables for the projects • Produce process documents. Produce Requirements specification, Architecture, Design and Technical documentation. • He/she should Work with development team during all phases to meet time and quality requirements for product. Interface with software development, analytics and model development groups in different geographical locations during planning and execution phases to effectively and efficiently address project issues • He/She should Continuously monitor and proactively adapt to changing business needs and technology landscape in .NET (and competing) technologies Assist VP of Product Development in setting policies, procedures and best practices for product development • he/she Develop a progressive work culture within the group that encourages team-work and creative thinking Minimum Qualifications EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years of total IT experience SKILLS SET: 1. 3 years of experience in managing all aspects of S/W product development and delivery. 2. Experience in managing geographically distributed team is preferred. 3. 4 years of specific experience in Microsoft .Net Framework VB .Net, C#, ASP.NET,C++. 4. Experience in using Agile methodology for project management. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skill & Excellent analytical skill. 6. Experience in area of Catastrophe modeling development is plus. 7. Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 Preferred Qualifications 1. PMP Certification. 2. Use of Team System to realize Agile methodology. 3. Experience in working with geographically distributed team. 4. SharePoint Portal, SQL Server Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services 5. Awareness of UML and object oriented analysis and design 6. Development of product using distributed processing approach.
