SkillsKey Skills:R&D , Hardware Design , Product Management , Thought Leadership Roles and ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities - Provides strategic directions for collaboratively developing the vision and charter for the India center, in collaboration with the global stakeholders - Helps develop the strategic plan for India as a base to service other emerging markets with targeted solutions and products - Understands products and cares about customer experience with products - Provides directional leadership to teams performing a wide variety of Product Development, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance and Documentation tasks - Leads the development and implementation of the strategy for product and software design and development processes, tools and metrics - Participates in defining the strategic plans from a business and technical perspective on an annual basis with global stakeholders - Oversees multiple critical programs, tracks high-level status and makes adjustments as necessary to meet strategic objectives without slippages - Constantly seeks innovative ways to improve the overall productivity and quality of the global product development team - Manages the India center in a metrics driven, cost effective manner aligned to the defined charter - Responsible for attracting and retaining top talent - Responsible for building and motivating strong, world-class product development teams witha business focus - Relate to the Engineering teams from a technical and personal perspective - Imbibe the DNA of HQ in the India center across levels - Adapt to and leverage the differences inherent in a distributed development environment - Manage other supporting business functions and the dual reporting to the corresponding HQ team
